My Approach
I describe myself as a Person-Centred Therapist. This means that you are the one setting the pace and the agenda of our therapy sessions. You are the expert on yourself and your lived experiences.

My job as a person-centred counsellor is to provide a safe space, free of judgement, where you can explore what is important to you and how you feel. Sometimes we might tell ourselves "This isn't a big deal" or that we might be wasting our therapist's time, but this isn't the case; whatever is going on for you matters to me.

I may reflect back things I'm noticing or hearing, and together we can be curious about what is going on for you and why that might be. I might gently challenge you, and highlight behavioural patterns I'm noticing if that feels appropriate. Sometimes we just need to have our pain witnessed.

My practice is non-directive, so I will never advise you or tell you what to do.
I cannot diagnose you or prescribe a path of treatment, but we can explore together what feels right for you.
